Deepa Agashe (Principal Investigator)

I am interested in integrating ecology and evolutionary biology with molecular evolution, to understand the processes governing adaptation. We look at both stochastic and deterministic factors influencing evolutionary change. I favor experimental evolution approaches to understand adaptive dynamics during bacterial genome evolution, the ecology and evolution of diet specialization and expansion, and population differentiation and divergence.
