We are looking for a project assistant with a CSIR/UGC/equivalent fellowship to work on a project investigating the role of tRNA levels in bacterial adaptation to stress. The position will be for one year, and may potentially be extended for an additional year. The work will involve molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, so candidates with experience in standard procedures such as cloning, handling protein gels and carrying out biochemical assays will be preferred.
To apply, please send your CV and a short summary (maximum 300 words) of a recent paper about bacterial evolution under stress, tRNAs or protein synthesis that you found novel or exciting. Explain the main findings briefly, and tell us what you would like to do next and why, if you were to investigate it further.
Send your application to dagashe AT ncbs.res.in with ‘Application for PA position’ in the subject line of your email.
Please note again, as we do not have a funded position available, only motivated candidates with their own source of funding (valid for a year from now) should apply.
